WRTune provides a user-friendly interface for tasks that are otherwise complex in OpenWRT. Device management, traffic monitoring, and system health are all accessible without needing to dive into command-line configurations.

No. WRTune runs out of the box with a vanilla OpenWRT installation. There’s no need to install additional packages — just connect your router and start managing it through the app.

WRTune prioritizes your privacy. The app runs completely locally to communicate with your router. Your sensitive network data, traffic, and credentials never leave your local network—we do not send them to the cloud.

WRTune requires your permission to create firewall rules. Instead of adding one MAC address at a time, WRTune organizes all rules under a clean, consistent prefix (wrtune_xxx). This keeps your firewall configuration tidy and easy to manage in one place.

I plan to open-source the core logic (API & networking) to support the community, while keeping the UI private to maintain the app's visual identity.

WRTune supports both Android and iOS. The Android version is currently available in Google Play Store. For iOS, the app is ready but requires an active Apple Developer Program subscription (1‑year) to be published on the App Store.

You can support the project through donations. Your contribution will go directly toward covering the annual Apple Developer account fee, making it possible to release WRTune on iOS.
